Our Village Improvement Projects

To initiate, develop and act as a catalyst for the sustainable development of totally integrated village projects by providing clean drinking water, on-site wastewater management, computer education and the creation of a healthy environment. Our objectives are to:

Treat each project as unique with the primary criteria being the improvement and protection of public health while respecting and protecting the environmental;

Keep the cost of the projects as low as possible and thus make the projects affordable - this concept is fundamental to the success of all such projects in India;

Circumvent graft and corruption by working directly with the villagers at both the grass roots and stake holders level - In Punjab 30 % of the budget of typical government projects goes unaccounted.

Construct these projects using experts and NGOs with a track record in similar projects;

Ensure that the projects are easy to maintain and that the operating costs of each project is kept low.

Punjab has a population of 20 million. Typical villages lack clean piped drinking water and there is no management of the wastewater. Open drains with raw sewage are an invitation to flies and mosquitoes, and innumerable diseases. Computer education in the villages is non-existent. Other civic amenities taken for granted in the west are non-existent.
